Ars Electronica 2026: Invitation to press conference
(Linz, 23 February 2026) From 9 to 13 September 2026, Linz will once again be the venue for the Ars Electronica Festival, which this time will turn the city centre into a stage for art, technology and society. As part of the festival, the Ars Electronica Centre will also be celebrating its 30th anniversary and presenting new exhibitions to mark the occasion.
The thematic focus of the Ars Electronica year 2026, the central locations and content highlights of the festival, as well as the anniversary plans of the Ars Electronica Center will be presented by Dietmar Prammer (Mayor of the City of Linz and owner representative of Ars Electronica), Doris Lang-Mayerhofer (City Councillor for Culture and Chair of the Ars Electronica Advisory Board), Veronika Liebl (Managing Director of the Ars Electronica Festival) and Gerfried Stocker (Artistic Director of Ars Electronica) together with Elgin Drda (Vice-Rector for Medicine at Johannes Kepler University Linz), Brigitte Hütter (Rector of the University of Art and Design Linz), Manfred Mandl-Kiblböck (Commercial Director of OÖ Landes-Kultur GmbH), Hermann Schneider (Artistic Director of the Landestheater Linz) and Norbert Trawöger (Artistic Director of the Brucknerhaus / LIVA) during a press conference
on Monday, 2 March 2026, at 11:15 a.m.,
in Deep Space 8K at the Ars Electronica Centre.
