Linz’s main train station (Hauptbahnhof) is located downtown. It offers convenient connections to all modes of public transit.

Blue Danube Airport is located on the outskirts of town, about a 20-minute drive to downtown. Bus, shuttle bus and train service is available.
Non-stop flights to Linz originate in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, London, Salzburg and Vienna.

Ticket Purchase

Please purchase a ticket before boarding from vending machines at stops, at many tobacconist shops (Tabaktrafik), at the Tourist Information Office on the Main Square (Hauptplatz) or at the LINZ AG Linien ticket office.

All tickets must also be validated at the vending machine at the stop before boarding. Kids age 6 and over must have a ticket; kids under age 15 are entitled to a discount.
